Night/Weekend Project Worker (Families)
Description and application instructions:
37 hours per week over 7 days. Shift patterns include: 12 hour waking nights during the week and weekends, 12 hour weekend days and some day cover during the week
1.To assist in the provision of an effective housing management and support service to tenants living in the main project and in dispersed properties, in line with relevant Association policies.
2.To participate in a rota which includes working regular nights on a seven day rota (to include weekends), also day shifts on a weekend and during the week to assist in ensuring that the housing management and support service is offered to the highest standards.
3.To be sensitive to and aware of the needs of homeless families and respond appropriately to any emergencies that may arise when on duty.
4.To assist in the collection of rents and service charges from tenants. To assist in ensuring that vacant properties are re-let promptly.
5.To help to ensure that the service actively implements and develops the Association’s Health and Safety policy in all aspects of its work. To assist in ensuring that the project remains a safe, clean and welcoming place to live and work and that emergency repairs are promptly reported and completed. To implement and comply with the Association’s lone working policy.
6.To participate fully in shift handovers, reporting incidents, child protection issues, health and safety concerns, anti social behaviour etc and any contact with tenants.
7.To promptly inform staff on-call of any emergencies at the main or dispersed project.
8.To assist with the completion of project administration, including the collation of monitoring data, typing up log and case notes, keeping tenant files up to date etc
9.To participate in and contribute to team meetings effectively.
10.To take part in annual appraisals and training plans and meet specific objectives for your work.
11.To adhere to the Association’s confidentiality policy.
