Regional Finalist in the National Lottery Awards
The Hinge Centre´s "Chances for Life" Project has reached the FINALS of the National Lottery Awards 2010

The project is one of three competing in the Best Education Project category for 2010 and are the only project within the whole of the Yorkshire Region.

The National Lottery Awards are an annual search to find the UK´s favourite Lottery funded projects. Lottery players raise £25 million each week for projects all across the country and the Awards are a great way to highlight how that funding has changed the UK for the better. Now in their seventh year, the Awards aim to recognise the incredible difference that Lottery funded projects - both large and small - have made to people, places and communities all across the land. They also celebrate the talent, hard work and amazing dedication of the people involved in running Lottery funded projects.

Winners in each category will be decided by a further round of public voting and the Hinge need as many votes of possible in order to win.

The winners of each category will then receive a National Lottery Award and a £2,000 cash prize, to be spent on their project.

The winners and runners-up will be announced on a special BBC1 show, to be televised on Saturday 4th September 2010 live from the Roundhouse in London.

The final round of public voting will start at 9am on Monday 26th July 2010 and runs until midday on Friday 13th August 2010.
